Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers,
Seems it is becoming a bad habit of mine to write the weekly Review on Saturday instead of Friday. I will definitively want to get back to doing this on Friday afternoon/early evening, so you have the information at hand when you want to start enjoying your well deserved days off (and me mine). Week 5 was filled with 7 snapshots, numbered 0126..0131 plus 0201. As usual, some smaller, some larger changes, including:
- Various YaST module fixes in line with the move towards firewalld (new installations will get firewalld by default, existing users can migrate from SuSEfirewall to firewalld as they please, but the tooling to manage SWF2 is diminishing)
- Linux kernel 4.14.15 & 4.15.0
- libdvdread and libdvdnav 6.0.0
- GCC 7.3.0
- CryptSetup 2.0
As usual, these are only some of the updates provided – and, also as usual, is by far not the end of Tumbleweed. These things are already piled up again and are being prepared for you:
- NetworkManager 1.10
- Mesa 18.0 (rc3 is submitted for testing)
- RPM 4.14.1
- Mozilla Firefox 58.0
