Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers,
During the last two weeks, we could publish 5 snapshots, of which 0422 had been pre-announced as being ‘huge’. The other snapshots covered are 0430, 0502, 0503, 0504 and 0505. The gap from 0422 up to 0430 was due to the full rebuild of the distribution based on glibc 2.23.
What else did those two weeks bring us:
- glibc 2.23
- Linux Kernel 4.5.2
- GStreamer 1.8.1
- LibreOffice 5.1.3
- Mozilla Firefox 46
- Many of the goodies the YaST Blog post
Things currently in the makings are:
- GCC 6 is to become the new default compiler.
- Qt 5.6 is still pending
