A full set of 5 snapshots (0914, 0916, 0917, 0920 and 0921) has been released, with some much anticipated and large changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>KDE Frameworks 5.26.0<\/li>\n<li>KDE Applications 16.08.1<\/li>\n<li>GNOME 3.22.0<\/li>\n<li>Linux Kernel 4.7.4<\/li>\n<li>gcc 5.4.1 (for the ones still relying on it; the distro is built using gcc 6.2.1)<\/li>\n<li>Vim 8.0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And if all this was not enough yet, there are things already piling up in Staging and Testing areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Steam fix: a workaround to get Steam back on the horse for you<\/li>\n<li>Mozilla Firefox 49.0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following few things moved to the backlog due to insufficient manpower to get resulting issues fixed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Freetype 2.7: breaks libgd and python(3)-Pillow&#8217;s test suites<\/li>\n<li>Emacs 25.1: needs some work in the packaging area to go on a dependency diet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With all those updates, don&#8217;t forget to still leave your desk once in a while &#8211; and in any case: have a lot of fun!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers, Another week comes to an end &#8211; and what a week this was for Tumbleweed!
