In snapshot 0720, we upgraded it to version 0.15~1, which enabled asynchronous path checkers by default and deprecated some options. This quickly turned out to cause some integration ripples, so in snapshot 0721 we chose safety first and reverted back to version 0.14.3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These six snapshots delivered the following updates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>KDE Plasma 6.7.3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>systemd 261.1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perl 5.44.0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Linux Kernel 7.1.4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wayland 1.26.0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>firewalld 2.3.2<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mozilla Firefox 152.0.6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Python 3.13.14<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ruby 4.0.6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mesa 26.1.5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>libzypp 17.38.14<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>libupnp 22.0.4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ipxe 2.0.0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>libtool 2.6.2<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>google-noto-fonts 20260701<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we close out this week&#8217;s chapter, here is a sneak peek at what is brewing in the staging projects for the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>linux-glibc-devel 7.1: Last holdup at this time is llvm (15 \u2013 21).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Podman 6.0.0: Undergoing integration and sync testing with buildah and skopeo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GCC 16 as the default system compiler: This major upgrade has now been moved to <code>Staging:N<\/code>, where openQA will soon be triggered to verify integration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rpmlint: The upcoming update will enforce whitelisting for capabilities in SUIDPermissionsCheck <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers, This week was quite busy and successful, with 6 snapshots (0716, 0717, 0718, 0720, 0721, and 0722) published to our users.
