Thank you very much for your testing efforts!
As for any kind of reports on the codebase of compiz (or even better patches), please report them directly to the compiz project (http://bugzilla.opencompositing.org). A very good way is also to discuss with the developers on irc, channel #compiz-dev (freenode).

About my 'dutchness': I DO live in Amsterdam, but am not actually dutch.

I've used the 0.9 version and aside from a strange occasional glitch it seems very functional and smooth to me.

Sometimes compiz crashes, but nog frequently. I've just installed the debug packages to get a proper backtrace.

How can I assist? If I produce a useable backtrace, who should I mail it to?

Some other strange glitch: when running full screen apps (rdesktop, kaffeine, VirtualBox) the edges don't work, but after a restart of compiz, then they do work.

I have experience in C(++) programming. You're Dutch, (like me), aren't you?

Keep up the good work!

Hello Dominique,

I'm experiencing similar troubles with 1.1.1 (and 1.2.0 as well) like venember. Could it be possible to share VLC 1.0.6 binaries for OpenSUSE 11.2? I'm in a big trouble as my program does not work now and I cannot fix it. Please help me.

Thanks a lot,
Michal

OK, finally resolved it. The ModemManager-0.4 version in factory was the culprit. Backed off the 0.4-1 version from gnome.org and it works.

Hi:

Well, upgraded to 11.3 and built the released versions of NetworkManager, NetworkManager-gnome and ModemManager and seemed to have broken my connection again :(.

Not receiving the checkbox at the end of the pairing process that enables you to select the phone as your mobile connection. No error messages are displayed.

Do you know what specifically enables the nm-applet plugin to offer the DUN capability during the pairing process?

thx.
